Custom Jewellery
Bespoke commissions
A piece made for you, exactly as you imagined it.
Whether you have a Pinterest board full of inspiration, a single screenshot of something you love, or just a feeling for the kind of piece you want — we’ll help you turn it into a real piece of fine jewellery in solid precious metal and lab-grown diamonds.
What we can make for you
Almost anything in fine jewellery. The most common custom commissions we take on:
- Engagement rings — solitaire, halo, three-stone, vintage-inspired, modern minimal, set with the diamond shape and carat of your choice
- Wedding bands and eternity rings — plain, pavé-set, half-set, full-set, matched to an existing engagement piece if needed
- Tennis bracelets and tennis necklaces — round, princess, emerald, pear, baguette, or mixed-cut diamond patterns in any length
- Pendants and statement necklaces — solitaire, halo, cluster, initial, name, or signature design
- Earrings — studs, hoops, drops, hugger style, in any size up to substantial statement pieces
- Redesigns of inherited jewellery — we can work with stones you already own or repurpose materials from existing pieces
- Anniversary, milestone, and gift commissions — designed around a date, an initial, a meaningful detail
- Matching sets — pieces designed to wear together (ring + band, pendant + earrings, etc.)
If you’re not sure whether what you want is possible — send us the enquiry anyway. The answer is almost always yes.
Custom design fee
How design fees and deposits work
To begin a custom or bespoke piece, a design fee is required before we start the design and quoting process.
Our standard design fee is £100.
For larger, more detailed or complex pieces, the design fee may be £150. We’ll confirm this before payment is taken.
If you proceed with production, the design fee is credited against the final cost of your piece.
Once your design and specification are approved, a 50% production deposit is required on the remaining balance before production begins. The final balance is due before dispatch.
If you choose not to proceed after design work has begun, the design fee may be non-refundable as work will already have been carried out. See our Custom Orders Policy for full terms.
How the process works
Step 01
Tell us your idea
Send a reference image, a Pinterest save, or a short description. The more you give us, the more accurately we can quote — but a single photo of a piece you love is enough to start.
Step 02
We review and respond
Within two working days, we’ll come back with design notes, material options, diamond suggestions, and any questions we need to answer before quoting. The appropriate design fee is confirmed at this stage.
Step 03
Design fee & written quote
Once the £100 or £150 design fee has cleared, design work begins. You receive a detailed written quote: metal, diamond specification, certification, sizing, lead time, deposit structure, and final price.
Step 04
Approve and pay deposit
Once you’re happy with the design and quote, the design fee is credited against the final cost, and a 50% production deposit on the remaining balance secures your piece into production.
Step 05
Production begins
Your piece is made to order in your chosen metal and diamond specification. We’ll keep you updated through key stages and can share progress images on request.
Step 06
Final payment and delivery
Final balance is settled before dispatch. Your piece is sent insured, signed-for, and presented in branded packaging.
Where to find inspiration
You don’t need to arrive with a finished design. Most of our best commissions start with a single image. If you’re not sure where to look:
- Pinterest — search “lab-grown engagement ring”, “tennis bracelet inspiration”, “oval halo ring”, or any specific style you’re drawn to. Save a few you love and send us the board link or screenshots.
- Instagram — screenshot pieces from fine jewellery designers, celebrity engagement rings, or vintage pieces. Send us the images.
- Existing pieces you own or have seen — a photo of an heirloom ring, a piece in a shop window, or something a friend wears. We can work from a clear photo.
- Our own collections — browse the rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, and earrings and tell us which existing piece you’d like adapted (different metal, different diamond, different size).
- Sketches or descriptions — if you can describe it in words, we can usually visualise it.
What we’ll ask you about
You won’t know all the answers yet — that’s our job. But here’s what we’ll work through together at quote stage:
Metal
Solid 925 sterling silver, or 14kt or 18kt gold in yellow, white, or rose.
Not sure? We’ll guide you based on the piece, budget, and how you’ll wear it.
Diamond shape and size
Round, oval, emerald, pear, princess, marquise, cushion, or radiant. Carat weight to suit your budget and the piece.
We’ll recommend specifications that match your inspiration image.
Diamond quality
Colour grade (D–H typically), clarity (VVS, VS, SI), cut grade, and whether you’d like IGI or GIA certification.
Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest the best combination.
Sizing
Ring size, bracelet length, chain length, pendant size. UK or US sizing accepted.
If you don’t know yet, we can advise on sizing.
Setting style
Prong, bezel, halo, pavé, channel, tension, illusion. We’ll match it to your reference.
A photo of the setting style you like is the easiest reference.
Budget
Optional but useful. Helps us recommend the right combination of metal and diamond specification.
Even a rough range is helpful.
Timescale
Our usual production lead time is approximately 3 weeks from approval. Custom, certified or more complex pieces may take slightly longer.
If you have a target date, mention it — we’ll be upfront if it’s tight.
Personal touches
Engraving, hidden details, mixed metals, second stones, or matching pieces.
Tell us the story behind the piece if there is one — it often shapes the design.
Pricing
Custom pieces are quoted individually. Final price depends on metal choice, lab-grown diamond specification, carat weight, sizing, design complexity and any certification or hallmarking required.
Every quote is provided in writing before the production deposit is taken. The quote breaks down each element so you can see exactly what affects the price — and adjust if you want.
A 50% production deposit on the remaining balance (after the design fee is credited) secures your piece into production, with the balance due before dispatch.
Returns on custom pieces
Because custom and bespoke pieces are made specifically to your specification, they may not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation once design work, sourcing, CAD work, stone sourcing, casting, setting, hallmarking or production has started.
We mitigate this by confirming every quote in writing before deposits are taken, and working closely with you at the design and approval stage. Faulty or incorrectly-supplied pieces are always covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — see our Returns & Refunds Policy and Custom Orders Policy for full terms.
