How to choose a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet

      What makes a tennis bracelet

A tennis bracelet is a continuous line of matched lab-grown diamonds, each set in its own flexible link so the bracelet moves and drapes around the wrist. It is one of the most wearable lab-grown diamond pieces there is, equally at home with a jumper as with an evening dress.

      Claw or collet setting

Claw settings hold each lab-grown diamond with small metal claws, letting in as much light as possible for the brightest sparkle. Collet settings wrap each stone in a fine rim of gold for a smoother, sleeker line that sits flat against the skin. Both are made to be worn every day.

Choosing the shape and carat weight

Round brilliant lab-grown diamonds give the classic, fiery line. Princess and emerald cuts create a crisper, more architectural look, while pear and marquise shapes add a softer, more unusual rhythm. Tennis bracelets are described by total carat weight, the combined weight of every lab-grown diamond in the bracelet, so a higher total means more lab-grown diamond around the wrist.

      Matched lab-grown diamonds, solid gold

Every stone we set is a lab-grown diamond, D–F in colour and VS1 clarity or better, and the stones in each bracelet are matched to one another. Because a tennis bracelet holds many smaller stones, they are matched rather than graded individually. Every bracelet is made in solid 14kt or 18kt gold, in white, yellow or rose, never 9ct.

      Choosing the length

Most of our tennis bracelets are 7 inches (about 18cm) long, and a few are between 6 and 6.8 inches. A tennis bracelet should sit close enough not to slide far down the hand, with room for a finger between the bracelet and the wrist. To check, wrap a strip of paper snugly around your wrist, mark where it meets, measure it and add about 1.5cm. If you need a different length, get in touch before you order and we will confirm what is possible before production starts.

      Your questions

Is a lab-grown tennis bracelet worth it? If you want to wear one, yes. Lab-grown diamonds give you far more carat weight for your money than mined stones, with the same hardness and sparkle. Like any lab-grown diamond, a tennis bracelet is not an investment and has little resale value, so buy it to wear and enjoy.

How many carats should a tennis bracelet be? There is no right answer, only a look. Around 2 to 4ct reads as a fine everyday line, 5 to 9ct is bolder, and above 10ct is a statement piece. Our range runs from 2.31ct to over 26ct.

How much does a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet cost? Mostly it depends on the total carat weight and the gold. Ours start at £1,595 for 2.31ct in solid 14kt gold, and every price on the page includes free UK delivery.

Is every stone a lab-grown diamond? Yes. Every stone is a lab-grown diamond: grown in a laboratory rather than mined, with the same hardness and brilliance.
