It is an adjustable strap marked in UK letter sizes. You slide it onto the finger, ease it closed until it sits the way a ring should, and read your size off the window. One tool covers the whole range, and you can use it again for any finger, or for someone else.

How the £5 works

It is £5 at checkout, and we email the full £5 straight back to you as credit the moment your order is paid. The credit does not expire, and it works alongside any other offer you are using, including your first-order discount — so it comes straight off the price of your ring.

How to spend the credit

The credit arrives in its own email, separate from your order confirmation, and that email contains a code. At checkout, paste the code into the box marked “Gift card or discount code” and £5 comes off what you pay. Anything you do not spend stays on the code for next time.

The credit is usable straight away. If you then put it towards a piece, that piece is made to order in the usual two working weeks.

How to get an accurate reading

A strap sizer is only as good as the tension you put on it, so three things matter:

• Do not pull it tight. Close it until it is snug and no further. Over-tightening is the single most common reason people order half a size too small.
• Check it comes back off over the knuckle. A ring has to pass the knuckle every time it is worn. If the sizer will not slide off comfortably, go up a size.
• Measure late in the day, with warm hands. Fingers are smallest first thing in the morning and after cold weather.

If you fall between two sizes, take the larger. A slightly loose ring can be worn; one that will not pass the knuckle cannot.
